Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions

These Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in the Primepet NZ Affiliate Program (“Program”). By applying for or participating in the Program, you (“Affiliate”, “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Program Overview

The Primepet NZ Affiliate Program allows approved affiliates to earn commissions by promoting Primepet NZ products through a unique tracking link provided via our website www.primepet.co.nz.

Participation in the Program is subject to approval at Primepet NZ’s sole discretion.

2. Eligibility

To be eligible for the Program, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years of age
  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Have an active social media account, website, or platform suitable for promoting our products

We reserve the right to reject or remove any affiliate application without explanation.

3. Affiliate Links & Tracking

  • Each Affiliate will receive a unique referral URL for tracking purposes.
  • Commissions are only earned on sales that are correctly tracked through this link.
  • Primepet NZ is not responsible for lost or untracked sales due to cookie deletion, ad blockers, browser settings, or third-party platform limitations.
  • Affiliates may not modify, mask, or misuse affiliate links.

4. Commission Structure

  • Affiliates earn 10% commission on eligible orders.
  • Commission is calculated on the net order value, excluding shipping fees, taxes, discounts, refunds, and chargebacks.
  • No commission is paid on cancelled or refunded orders.
  • Self-referrals (purchases made by the Affiliate through their own affiliate link) are not eligible for commission.

5. Audience Discount

  • A 10% discount is automatically applied at checkout for customers using an Affiliate’s referral link.
  • The discount applies to non-sale items only.
  • The discount cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated.

6. Personal Affiliate Discount

  • Affiliates receive a 30% personal discount via a separate direct link.
  • This discount is for personal use only and must not be shared, resold, or promoted publicly.
  • No commission is earned on purchases made using the personal discount link.

7. Affiliate Responsibilities

Affiliates agree to:

  • Promote Primepet NZ twice a month in an honest, ethical, and lawful manner
  • Clearly disclose the affiliate relationship where required by advertising standards
  • Avoid false, misleading, or exaggerated claims about our products
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and platform rules

8. Prohibited Activities

Affiliates must not:

  • Engage in spam, misleading advertising, or deceptive marketing practices
  • Use paid advertising that impersonates Primepet NZ or bids on our brand name without permission
  • Offer unauthorized incentives or discounts
  • Use affiliate links on coupon-only or deal sites without written approval
  • Misrepresent themselves as employees or official representatives of Primepet NZ

9. Transparency & Reporting

  • Affiliates will have access to a tracking dashboard showing clicks, orders, and commissions.
  • Reports are provided for informational purposes and may be subject to verification.
  • Primepet NZ’s tracking records are final in the event of discrepancies.

10. Payments & Payouts

  • Commissions are calculated monthly.
  • Payments are made after the applicable holding period to account for returns or cancellations.
  • Affiliates are responsible for providing correct payment details and for any applicable taxes.
  • Primepet NZ reserves the right to withhold payment in cases of suspected fraud or policy violations.

11. Termination

  • Either party may terminate participation in the Program at any time.
  • Primepet NZ may suspend or terminate an Affiliate account immediately if these Terms are breached.
  • Upon termination, all affiliate links must be removed and commissions not yet approved may be forfeited.

12. Intellectual Property

  • Affiliates are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use approved Primepet NZ branding materials solely for promotional purposes.
  • All intellectual property remains the sole property of Primepet NZ.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, Primepet NZ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the Program.

14. Modifications

Primepet NZ reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued participation in the Program constitutes acceptance of any changes.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
